WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Denmark, with its democracy, social equality and peaceful atmosphere, is the happiest country in the world, researchers said on Monday.

Zimbabwe, torn by political and social strife, is the least happy, while the world’s richest nation, the United States, ranks 16th.

Overall, the world is getting happier, according to the U.S. government-funded World Values Survey, done regularly by a global network of social scientists.

It found increased happiness from 1981 to 2007 in 45 of 52 countries analyzed.

“I strongly suspect that there is a strong correlation between peace and happiness,” said Ronald Inglehart, a political scientist at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research, who directed the study.

And, said Ingelhart, there is a strong correlation between happiness and democracy.

“Denmark is the happiest country in the world in our ratings,” Inglehart said in an audio statement released by the National Science Foundation, which paid for the analysis.

“Denmark is prosperous — not the richest country in the world but it is prosperous.”

Puerto Rico and Colombia also rank highly, along with Northern Ireland, Iceland, Switzerland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada and Sweden.

“Though by no means the happiest country in the world, from a global perspective the United States looks pretty good,” Inglehart said. “The country is not only prosperous; it ranks relatively high in gender equality, tolerance of ethnic and social diversity and has high levels of political freedom.”

The survey, first done in 1981, has kept to two simple questions:

“Taking all things together, would you say you are very happy, rather happy, not very happy, not at all happy?” And, “All things considered, how satisfied are you with your life as a whole these days?”

Writing in the journal Perspectives on Psychological Science, Ingelhart’s team said they have surveyed 350,000 people.

“Ultimately, the most important determinant of happiness is the extent to which people have free choice in how to live their lives,” Inglehart said.

The softness of micro-fibers used in these towels should include threads, stitching and improved technology elasticity. The seamless garment, the entire world production. This technology can produce finished products, and less traditional production process. This results in a cost savings for the production of up to 40 percent compared with the usual knitting. The seamless knitting in the rolling profile, in accordance with elastic yarn in the world of the band and prepared in the field compressed.

Circular knitting machines were mostly underwear makers since the beginning of the round tower of technology in the early 19th century. But in Italy, manufacturers verschmolz technology interaction for tips and heels socks

players and other technologies of the machine knitting.

In the space of just three years, production of the range of underwear seamless reached nine percent of the total world production in this area during the year 2001, compared to two percent in 1998 , with slope of 18 percent during

the year 2003. In 2007, the underwear industry segment is likely to reach 35 percent, Santoni reports. As part of the education and training systems Santoni-working group has been in the implementation of courses Machina The

development of prototypes, consumers and designers, and are manufactured in Europe and distributed on the open market. Santoni tent, hands on his trousers and bras seamless, but the results have not been as positive, given

that the diameter of the machine allows only small sizes. Admittedly, this has led lots of interesting information came out as beehives, fringes and designs.

Threads

Given that the major products such as undergarments, outer garments and bath are very elastic, very fine and subtle fabrics, micro-fibers, must be very flexible and extensible. All major Nähgarn makers have developed products.

Alterfil has structured a 100% polyester yarn “Alterfil T”, and the needle from the label. Combining Alterfil T and B Alterfil in the needle and the label is recommended.

The Coats has Eloflex Coats made from polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). It is designed for applications knitted elastic qualities, more in keeping with the firmness and elasticity. It could be both, under the needle and thread.

Gotermann, Germany has a sewing mire with a glowing metal. A detailed analysis has shown that 2 or 3 on the injection of couture, which is a mixture of fibers from the micro-thread “Piuma” and the wire, GOtermann W 331, rolling

an excellent result.

It is nice to the skin, without any irritation. The 127 at the disposal of colours and Piuma 12 W 331 colors (in some cases, multi-colors), produces a wide range of color permutation. Amann, Germany has developed innovative

Nähgarn resilient, “saba FLEX.” It is composed of 100 percent of PTT continuous thread, available in 2 versions, 80tex and 120tex for all types of tissues elastic. Reutex, Germany offers new elastic fibers micro-needle and thread

Below is a list of official holidays in the Philippines for 2008. Got any plans for the long weekends? Enjoy! Wohoo! Official List of Philippine Holidays for 2008 (based on Republic Act 9492 or “An Act Rationalizing the Celebration of National Holidays”) (exact dates for holidays in 2008 as provided for in Proclamation No. 1463, “Declaring the Regular Holidays and Special (non-working) Days for the Year 2008?) A. Regular Holidays

Maundy Thursday / Good Friday – March 20 / 21 (Thursday / Friday)

B. Special (non-working) holidays

All Saints’ Day – November 1 (Saturday)

Additional Special Non-Working Holiday – December 26 (Friday)

Additional Special Non-Working Holiday – December 29 (Monday)

Last Day of the Year (Special Holiday) – December 31(Wednesday)

The date of the observance of Eid’l Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan) will be issued after the approximate date of the Islamic Holiday has been determined. This will be confirmed by the Office of Muslim Affairs. Copy of Proclamation No. 1463

Note that December 24 is almost always made into a holiday (or at least a half-day working day) in most companies, December 25 is Christmas Day, December 26 is already proclaimed a special non-working day, December 27 and 28 are weekends, December 29 is again a special non-working day, December 30 is Rizal Day, December 31 is a special holiday, January 1 is New Year, and January 2 and 3 are weekends — which means the Christmas season is going to be a 12-day holiday for most people! No work, just play from December 24, 2008 until January 4, 2009
