This is quite amazing…

If you see this lady turning in clockwise you are using your right brain.
If you see it the other way, you are using left brain.
Some people do see both ways, but most people see it only one way.

See if you can make her go one way and then the other by
shifting the brain’s current.

BOTH DIRECTIONS CAN BE SEEN

Experimentation has shown that the two different sides, or hemispheres,
of the brain are responsible for different manners of thinking.
The following table illustrates the differences between left-brain and
right-brain thinking:

Left Brain

Logical
Sequential
Rational
Analytical
Objective
Looks at
parts

Right Brain
Random
Intuitive
Holistic
Synthesizing
Subjective
Looks at
wholes

Most individuals have a distinct preference for one of
these styles of thinking. Some, however, are more
whole-brained and equally adept at both modes.
In general, schools tend to favor left-brai! n modes of
thinking, while downplaying the right-brain activities.
Left-brain scholastic subjects focus on logical thinking,
analysis, and accuracy. Right-brained subjects, on the
other hand, focus on aesthetics, feeling, and creativity.

If you look away, she may switch from one direction to the other.

I found that if I just look at her feet or relax and look at the floor
where the reflection shows, she will switch direction!

This is one of the main difference between men and women. most women w
see her turning clockwise while most men will see her turning counterclockwise

First, you get to see and live on other cities; knowing their culture, adapting to their customs as well as tasting their own unique delicacies. However, the downside would be how to constantly communicate with your loved ones to wipe away the loneliness of being away, to have the feeling of being constantly with them specifically on special occasions. Although we have the email which is the quickest way to be in touch with them as compared to snail mail, it still does not compete with talking and hearing their voices.

If one is not cautious on his long distance calls, he may end up with a large percentage of his earnings financing those charges. It’s a good thing that these days, there are several long distance provider that proves to be competitive, the consumers just have to make a wise decision for their benefit also. The leader in cost-saving, low-charging long times provider these days is with Spectrotel. They are the leader in providing quality local and long distance services to consumers all throughout the US. It’s dedication of seeking out nature’s best sources for health and beauty and sharing them with the world. But I am more concerned about the Ecoquest air purifying machines being sold by them, designed to make the air pure and cleaner. I’m concerned because I’ve been told that this days every environment in the world are now polluted does making people sick and unhealthy.

It is a known fact that men has low pain tolerance, and I for one can attest to it. My husband was in “deep pain” because of a toothache. It was that “painful” that he has to skip work. So he went to the dentist for a checkup and the suspected aching tooth was refilled again and a general prophylaxis was performed. So I thought the nightmare was over. After two days, he complained of the pain again. He popped 500mgs of mefenamic acid hoping it will go away immediately. But lo and behold! The pain is still there. I told him to wait for sometime maybe the drug is not yet dissolved but he insists on taking one capsule again that I have to put some sense to him thinking is there such pain that cannot be tolerated?

He again visited the dentist and this time, requested the doctor to remove his third molar or wisdom tooth which has been a bother for sometime, hoping that this is the source of his pain. After the removal we thought that the nightmare is over, but still the worse is yet to come. When the effect of anesthesia wore off, he started to complain of this searing pain on the area where the tooth was removed so he took antibiotics and mefenamic acid. Men does not have the gift of waiting and as usual, it was like the end of the world for him because the pain was that too intense for him. I gave him ice for him to chew on, and it seems to give him temporary relief. But as soon as the ice is gone, he will start being grumpy again, telling me to hurry up with the ice because he thought I was not that concern about his situation! This really pissed me off. So I told him this is just a toothache, is there any other pain more extreme, severe and stronger than labor pains? This toothache thing does not hold a candle to what a woman experiences when delivering a baby! So stop whining and be man for once because there is no such pain that can cause death. It’s just all in the mind. Overcome the pain, the drugs are just there to assist you, but only you can cure yourself.

So after taking 4 days of sick leave due to toothache, I forced him to get back to work because its too much already. I just could not imagine anyone giving too much fuss about a simple toothache.

A higher percentage of mommies are having problems with potty training their kids. Some children sometimes wear diapers even in school, especially for nursery or preschool level. Truly, bladder control for kids is very hard and we must understand and support them in this big step on their lives.

As for me, I am no exception in experiencing potty training problems. Those mis-shots, accidents, embarassments, and the likes, we all go through them. It’s like a baptism of fire for both parents and child that we must pass. But I used one technique that I hope all mothers out there can inspire to apply.

I have two daughters and they were both successfully potty trained at the early age. My eldest, Gabi, ‘graduated’ from diapers at the age of 1 year and 11 months, just weeks before her 2nd birthday. The youngest, Bambam, ‘graduated’ at 2 years and 4 months. When I say ‘graduated,’ this means no diaper even during night time.

Potty training them during daytime is something that we can easily teach the child, since they are aware of their surroundings and we are there to remind them every now and then to go the potty. But at night, its a different thing. Accidents do really happen, and we don’t want to soil our linens and beds, so most moms opt to use diapers at night, until such time that the child is ready to be on his own.

The technique that I used for my children might sound odd to most parents. But I tell you, this is very effective. When my kids go to bed at around 9pm, they should use the bathroom whether they are going to use it or not. Before I go to bed at around 11pm, I will carry each one of them to the potty, even while sleeping. With their eyes closed, I coaxed them to take a pee, and they will surely pee. Then I will set the alarm clock after two hours, which is around 1am. When the alarm sounds, I’ll do the routine again, then set the alarm after two hours, until early in the morning. This routine was performed for months, and still, I have to go to work in the morning.

But it soon paid off. The time that I throw the last diaper in the trash bin was a monumental success. Free at last from sleepless nights, exhaustion and financial burden from buying those diapers! As of date, my kids never had those ‘accidents,’ if they have to go, they will be awaken on their own. They just woke me to accompany them to the bathroom.

This has been a proven technique that I hope you could learn a lesson or two. It really takes a lot of patience, tons of endurance, understanding, dedication and most of all, love to make it a success. Enjoy the experience because as they say, kids are being kids just once in their lifetime.

Transparency International’s 2007 Corruption Perception Index ranked the Philippines 131st out of 179 countries. The country’s score since 2005 has been 2.5, the lowest since 1995.

Note: TI ranks countries in terms of the degree to which corruption is perceived to exist among public officials and politicians.

Fitch
Citing the country’s relatively strong external position, Fitch Ratings on June 27, 2008 affirmed its Philippine ratings, with the outlook remaining “stable”. It, however, described public finances as still “fundamentally weak”, and urged the government to boost its revenues given mounting spending pressures.

Moody’s Investment Ratings
On January 25, 2008, Moody’s Investor Service upgraded its credit rating outlook on the Philippines to positive from stable. It cited improvements in public sector finances and a reduced dependence on funding from abroad.

Standard and Poor’s
On September 14, 2007, Standard & Poor’s maintained its stable outlook on the country’s sovereign debt ratings. The country’s “local and foreign currency funding and rollover risks remain manageable in the wake of global financial market turbulence and consequent tightening liquidity conditions,” said Agost Benard, a Standard and Poor’s credit analyst.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Denmark, with its democracy, social equality and peaceful atmosphere, is the happiest country in the world, researchers said on Monday.

Zimbabwe, torn by political and social strife, is the least happy, while the world’s richest nation, the United States, ranks 16th.

Overall, the world is getting happier, according to the U.S. government-funded World Values Survey, done regularly by a global network of social scientists.

It found increased happiness from 1981 to 2007 in 45 of 52 countries analyzed.

“I strongly suspect that there is a strong correlation between peace and happiness,” said Ronald Inglehart, a political scientist at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research, who directed the study.

And, said Ingelhart, there is a strong correlation between happiness and democracy.

“Denmark is the happiest country in the world in our ratings,” Inglehart said in an audio statement released by the National Science Foundation, which paid for the analysis.

“Denmark is prosperous — not the richest country in the world but it is prosperous.”

Puerto Rico and Colombia also rank highly, along with Northern Ireland, Iceland, Switzerland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada and Sweden.

“Though by no means the happiest country in the world, from a global perspective the United States looks pretty good,” Inglehart said. “The country is not only prosperous; it ranks relatively high in gender equality, tolerance of ethnic and social diversity and has high levels of political freedom.”

The survey, first done in 1981, has kept to two simple questions:

“Taking all things together, would you say you are very happy, rather happy, not very happy, not at all happy?” And, “All things considered, how satisfied are you with your life as a whole these days?”

Writing in the journal Perspectives on Psychological Science, Ingelhart’s team said they have surveyed 350,000 people.

“Ultimately, the most important determinant of happiness is the extent to which people have free choice in how to live their lives,” Inglehart said.

WARNING: This a most amazing video, but be advised it’s not for the faint of heart.

A man is interviewed after having surgery which leaves him with giant hole in his face. The surgery removed his eye and part of his cheek bone, as you will ses.

He now lives with a massive hole in his head, but amazingly seems to have gotten used to it. Unbelievable.

If anything qualifies for a weird but true story, this is it.
